Aquatics
The Aquatics Programme is a vital part of Canadian International School Hong Kong's teaching students a key life long skill. Living in Hong Kong, we are surrounded by water so it is critical that students learn correct water safety and how to swim. Every student from Early Years to Grade 12 gets this opportunity in their PE lessons and/or as a part of our after school programme.
Aquatics Staff
There are eight full time Aquatic staff at CDNIS:
- Head of Aquatics
- Pool Manager
- Three Swim Coaches
- Three Lifeguards
Staff attend regular training and professional development. Their coaching licenses and pool lifeguard qualifications are obtained from various organisations including ASCTA, AUSTSWIM, HKCSA, HKLSS.
Aquatics Programme
The Aquatic staff run the PE swimming and after school swimming programmes. The Head of Aquatics and PE teacher lead the PE lessons assisted by swim coaches.
The after school swimming programme has various levels every weekday from 2:30pm - 5pm. The programme also operates on Saturday mornings and includes lessons for infants and adults.
