Canadian International School of Hong Kong, or CDNIS, opened its doors in 1991 and we are excited to celebrate our 35th anniversary in 2025-2026!

Indeed, CDNIS has come a long way from its early days to the present as one of Hong Kong’s leading international schools. Each day, over 2,100 students and 350 staff enter our two campuses, eager to contribute to and benefit from our dynamic learning environment.

As we celebrate our 35 years, we reflect on the virtues and values that have contributed to our success, which means of course the success of our students. We take great pride in our vision and mission that unites us in the joy of learning with a goal towards excellent achievement and the development of character. The framework for this learning journey comes from the International Baccalaureate (IB) as CDNIS students start with the IB Primary Years Programme, move on to the IB Middle Years Programme Programme, then cap it all off at their graduation as IB Diploma Programme recipients which they achieve alongside the Canadian distinction of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). CDNIS students from an early age are active, creative, collaborative, globally minded problem solvers with a clear focus on the end result that enables them to be accepted into the top universities and colleges around the world.
