Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) is excited to expand its footprint from Nam Long Shan Road to THE SOUTHSIDE in Wong Chuk Hang, showcasing its renowned half-day Early Years Programme. We are proud to offer our highly sought-after bilingual Early Years 1 classes for 3-year-olds, as well as the new Bilingual Nursery Programme for 2-year-olds, all set within our beautiful, child-friendly campus.

The Nursery and Early Years 1 programmes allows students to learn two languages through CDNIS’ unique dual language platform. Our experienced and qualified teachers provide a developmentally appropriate, student-centred and engaging learning environment for our youngest students, where their receptive and expressive dual language skills can be nurtured in a warm, inviting and creative learning environment.

The application period for the August 2025 Nursery Programme has now closed. Applications for the 2026/2027 Bilingual Nursery Programme will open in November 2025* through our Admissions Portal.

We encourage families to apply early, as spots are anticipated to fill quickly following the admissions assessments.

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Canadian International School of Hong Kong Early Years Programme.

Always evolving, CDNIS has taken a bold step to reflect on its core service commitment and strive for improvement. This has led to the development of a redefined education experience for our youngest learners, with the addition of a dual language Nursery Programme for 2-year olds and an enhanced Early Years 1 Programme. This commitment to a higher level of service and inclusivity reflects CDNIS’ dedication to building a stronger community and providing a personalized learning experience for all students.

To meet the unique needs of our youngest learners, CDNIS has developed the Bilingual Early Years Programme, a wholly Early Years focused learning campus designed through the eyes of 2 and 3-year olds. The Bilingual Early Years Programme will be purpose-built to prioritize the needs of our young learners with a focus on creating a developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters language fluency, social-emotional growth, and a love for learning. The Programme will offer a bilingual ethos to gently foster receptive and expressive dual language fluency by establishing a firm language foundation for students. CDNIS is excited to set a new standard of excellence for its youngest learners, recognizing that they deserve nothing but the best.

The Nursery and Early Years 1 programmes offer a dual language learning experience where students are exposed to both Chinese and English languages. Through IB inquiry-based learning, students are encouraged to develop their senses and acquire knowledge in a safe, play-based environment. This interactive approach fosters the development of critical thinking, creativity and problem solving skills. With the focus on nurturing the whole child, the Nursery Programme, which is for 2-year olds, and the Early Years 1 Programme, which is for 3-year olds, provides a solid foundation for future academic success while instilling a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

As a child progresses through the Nursery Programme, their cognitive development undergoes a significant enhancement. Hence, it is imperative to observe and reassess the child’s cognitive progress regularly. Students who meet the cognitive development performance will be given strong consideration to move up to Early Years 1. There are no changes to the current matriculation process from Early Years 1 to Early Years 2.

10. What is the tuition fee of the Nursery Programme and do students need to be covered by a debenture or capital levy?

The annual tuition fee for the Bilingual Nursery Programme in the 2024/25 school year is $132,000 and payable in 11 installments. Nursery students will not need to pay the capital levy or be a holder of a debenture. Upon acceptance, the Nursery seat for the 2024/2025 school year will only be secured by settling the application fee of $1,800 and the first month tuition of $12,000. All fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable.
