The Candidate
Reporting to the Head of School, the Lower School Principal shall assist the Head of School in the successful operation and management of the CDNIS Lower School (Nursery to Grade 5). The Lower School Principal will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team as the team implements strategic priorities set by the Board of Governors. The Lower School Principal is the learning leader, administrative head, and ‘compass’ of the Lower School and is supported by two Vice Principals and one PYP Coordinator who together form the Lower School Pedagogical Leadership Team. The Lower School Principal is also responsible for personnel management and evaluation, teacher recruitment, and student recruitment.

Duties & Responsibilities
As the inspirational pedagogical leader for the Lower School, the Lower School Principal will:
- Sustain and develop a culture of future-ready, student-centred learning based on current research
- Oversee student wellbeing, including the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of student wellbeing programmes and practices, in collaboration with the Lower School Inclusion Team
- Lead Lower School curriculum development, alignment, implementation and evaluation in collaboration with the Pedagogical Leadership Team. Play a key role in the alignment and articulation of the Early Years - G12 curriculum
- Use data to monitor the success of Lower School programmes and oversee the monitoring of student growth
- Ensure all students’ needs are met through close collaboration with and oversight of the Lower School Inclusion Team

Education & Work Experience
- A Bachelor's degree plus teaching qualification in elementary/early childhood education
- A higher degree at Masters or Doctorate level, preferably in educational leadership and/or principal training/certification
- At least 5 years successful senior leadership experience in an international school environment, preferably at principal level
- Senior leadership experience in the PYP preferred
- Leadership experience in a multicultural school setting

Senior Accountant
The Position
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Business and Operations Department.
Reporting to Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting, Senior Accountant is responsible for monitoring of daily operations includes budget control, bank current accounts and cash flow, leading the monthly financial reporting and management reporting, preparing the budget and forecast, financial analysis, month-end and year-end processing, preparation for internal and external audit dealing with any ad-hoc duties on demand.

Assistant Manager - Facilities
The Position
We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Facilities in the Facilities Department.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Facilities, the Assistant Manager – Facilities is responsible for supervising the in-house maintenance contractor in a safe and efficient operation and maintenance at CDNIS. These maintenance functions include electrical, mechanical, fire safety, hot water and cooling HVAC systems, recycling, rubbish removal and stage / sound function set ups with AV equipment and stage furniture.
The Assistant Manager – Facilities is also responsible for assisting in the supervision of multi-disciplinary Facilities staff and external contractors involved in the operation, maintenance and security of the CDNIS; and working as a member of a team to ensure the timely resolution of general CDNIS Facilities requirements, in accordance with applicable regulations, ordinances, school policies and procedures.

A/C Maintenance Technician
The Position
We are looking for an A/C Maintenance Technician in the Facilities Department.
Reporting to the Senior Technician, the Maintenance Technician is involved in the performance of a variety of semi-skilled preventive maintenance, repair, alteration and installation tasks on school buildings and equipment including electrical and plumbing services; the delivery and set up for school special events/functions; and working as a member of a team to ensure the timely resolution of general CDNIS facilities requirements in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs daily check-ups on various equipment inside the plant / pump rooms to ensure the air-conditioning and water supply are working effectively
- Loads, delivers and assembles staging, backdrops, lighting, PA equipment, folding tables and chairs for the school functions
- Performs a wide range of semi-skilled testing, repair, replacement and maintenance electrical and plumbing duties including electrical troubleshoot sockets and wiring, reports defects or irregularities in wiring, switches and fuse, hot water heating, fire sprinkler systems and equipment (e.g. boiler backflow preventers; roof and perimeter drains; sewer blockages); identifies major concerns and reports to supervisor
- Operates, when required, threading machine, power drills, hilti guns and drills, jigsaws, metal band and steel cutting saws, arc/mig welding and oxy-acetylene welders, grinders, drill presses; and other standard maintenance tools

Part-Time Theatre Technician
The Position
We are looking for experienced theatre technical professionals specializing in audio, lighting, projection and rigging to join our Theatre Technician Team as part time Theatre Technicians on an on-call basis. CDNIS has a state-of-the Art 5-storey performing arts complex, Leo Lee Arts Centre (LLAC), with a 604-seat professional grade theatre, blackbox theatre, dance studio, visual arts studio and music rooms galore.
The purpose of the part time Theatre Technician(s) is to create and run, to the highest standards, all the technical aspects of the LLAC Performing Arts facilities, productions, presentations, and related events. The part time Theatre Technician(s) will report to the LLAC Senior Theatre Technician. As a member of the LLAC Theatre Technician Team, you will be expected to work across disciplines including stage, lighting, audio, and projection. The part time Theatre Technician(s) also involved in the performance of a variety of operational, preventative maintenance and repair tasks on audio visual equipment. In addition, the part-time Theatre Technician(s) will be responsible for the delivery, set up and operation of all AV and projection equipment required for school events & functions in the LLAC theatre, lobby, small & large gym, Alan Dick Forum, 6th and 12th floor cafeterias, 8th floor breakout area, library and other specific venues at the school.

Nurses
The Position
Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) is currently looking for Supply School Nurses to cover daily school nurse absences.
A school nurse is responsible for providing first aid to all students, staff and parents/visitors; maintaining school medical supplies and student health records; liaising with relevant government health and education departments regarding health programs, immunization, and relevant health concerns; giving advice and support to all staff with regard to health and safety issues in the School; and working as a member of a team to ensure the timely resolution of general CDNIS requirements, in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures.

- CPR and First Aid Certificates.
- Experience in emergency care nursing including seizure management, medical responses to anaphylactic reaction, treatment of sprains and fractures.

- Knowledge of appropriate medical manuals such as MMS (Medicine Information Manual) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
