McGill Summer Academy
Founded in 1821, McGill University has a reputation for educational excellence that reaches around the globe. For the 12th consecutive year, McGill University is ranked 1st in Canada among medical-doctoral universities (Maclean’s 2017), and 32nd overall in the world (QS World University Rankings 2018). Among more than 250,000 alumni, it boasts 12 Nobel Prize winners, prime ministers, world renowned physicians, scientists, and humanitarians.
For the first time, McGill University will be offering a summer academy outside of Canada. This programme offers learning opportunities for students aged 15-19 that foster curiosity about the natural, physical and social phenomena and prepare them for continuing learning at the university. Upon completion of the programme, all students will receive a certificate of participation issued by McGill University.
Registration is now open.
Programmes will run from August 1-6 from 9am-3:45pm. The 15-hour courses are priced at HK$6500/course and are taught by current McGill University academic staff. The courses on offer include:
State-of-the-art Cryptography over the Whole Numbers
Introduction to Quantum Mechanics
Toxicology: The Science of Poisons
Medicines of the Future
Skills for Emerging Leaders
Reading, Writing & Thinking Across the Disciplines

All courses will take place at Canadian International School of Hong Kong, located at 36 Nam Long Shan Road. The school is located just a short walk from the Wong Chuk Hang MTR station (South Island Line).
