Steve Stiller infuses the hallways of CDNIS with the rhythms and beats of world drumming as the 2012-2013 Artist in Residence Back by popular demand! Following his highly successful and memorable one-day 'Drum Jam' with grade 7 students in 2010, Australian percussionist and educator Steve Stiller has returned to Canadian International School of Hong Kong as its Artist in Residence, 7 January – 8 February 2013.

Mr. Helin, whose Aboriginal name is We Laaxum'Yout, is a brilliant and accomplished Tsimshian First Nations artist, renowned totem carver, designer, engrave, painter and writer from Parksville, British Columbia on Canada's Westcoast. He is a passionate advocate for youth, an accomplished artist, writer and illustrator, jewellery designer and filmmaker. A proud father of four, Helin loves to teach and work with children and adults as he shares his Tsimshian Indian traditions.
Welcome our first Artist in Residence, Paper Craft Maker Master Chan Kwai Chau, October 2010
A native of Qingyuan in Guangdong province, Master Chan came to Hong Kong in 1935 to apprentice at his uncle's paper crafts workshop - Chau Kee. He acquired essential skills such as cutting bamboo, drafting and gluing paper and witnessed the boom and bust of this unique art. At 92 years of age, Master Chan has been in the paper crafting business for more than 70 years.
