The Fund has been established in the memory of Alan Dick. In the spirit of Alan’s passion for intellectual pursuits and cultural experiences, including arts and athletics, the Fund seeks to provide opportunities for students to further or broaden their education through life experiences.

The programmes on offer may be different every year. Invitation to apply for funding will be sent to students during the term. Students should contact the teacher-in-charge for programme details and application procedures.
Programmes now available
The scholarship programmes shown below are being offered for 2012/2013. Application forms are available until 10 February from the Upper School Guidance Office (Room 510).
- Sports Leadership at Ontario Educational Leadership Centre
This scholarship covers tuition, accommodation and airfare for a student to attend the programme in Toronto, Canada from 1-7 July. The successful applicant must be between 15-17-years old, possess strong leadership skills and involved in both curricular and extra-curricular athletic programmes. - Entrepreneurship and Business at National Student Leadership Conference
This scholarship covers tuition and accommodation for a student who has a proven interest in entrepreneurship and business to attend the conference. Students in Grades 9-11 are welcome to apply. Please see Ms Harris-Lowe or Ms Ionson by 10 February if you are interested.
- University of British Columbia Smmer Music Programme
This scholarship covers the majority of expenses for a student and chaperone to attend this music camp in Vancouver 7-22 July. Costs include tuition, airfare and accommodation. The scholarship is open to all students currently in Grade 7 and 8 who play a concert band instrument. Application deadline is 10 February. See Mr Dacho for more information.
