“My four years at CDNIS provided me with a strong academic background that set me well ahead of many of my peers when I started at studying Biology and Chemistry at Queen's University. However, the most important thing that CDNIS gave me was awareness - understanding world issues and how our generation needs to be solving them. As a result of some of my excellent teachers, I have started a business and am now strongly involved in developing solutions for our food system, waste management, and other pressing environmental issues.” Nathan Putnam – Class of 2007 (Queen's University – Canada) |

“The CDNIS community encouraged me to reach beyond my comfort zone and motivated me think creatively about what I wanted to accomplish. That little bit extra that CDNIS integrates into its education made a tremendous difference in my outlook on university. These intangibles included valuable lessons in and outside of the classroom that prepared me for the independent thinking necessary to make the most of the university experience. My undergraduate studies in modern East Asian globalization, history, and literature grew out of the invaluable preparation that CDNIS provided. Today, my work as a business development consultant incorporates many good habits for the professional world afforded by a CDNIS education. ” Evan Thorpe – Class of 2000 (Princeton University – USA) |
