Annual Giving Campaign
The 2016/2017 Funding Priorities List for the 2017/2018 Academic Year will be available soon.Innovation and Opportunity
This year the Annual Giving Campaign will support two main themes, Innovation and Opportunity. These in fact build on what the fund has supported in its first two years. The Annual Giving Campaign allows the School to try out new programmes beyond what can be supported by the operating budget. Examples of innovative programming supported in the first two years include the creation of Mandarin E-books for iPads, the Global and Local Issues position and programme, the Coding and Robotics programmes for Different Grades, new approaches to arts learning with our Artist in Residence programme and many more.
The Annual Giving Campaign has also always given students, and teachers, the opportunity to do things beyond the ordinary. It was an initiative from our Athletic Department that a great way to recognize students who represent the School, and their volunteer teacher coaches, is to reduce the cost of travelling around Asia through the SEASAC Scholarship fund. This has now been extended to students representing CDNIS at Arts festival, Model United Nations, math competitions etc.
Creating a comprehensive and discerning Annual Giving Campaign Project List has always required the contribution of the entire CDNIS community. Over the years we have held many formal and informal consultation sessions to get ideas from parents, teachers and students for additional projects that can be supported. We do in fact now have lots of ideas that teachers and parents have suggested but if you would like to contribute your ideas and thoughts for future consideration, Please use this online form to submit your suggestions.
