About Us
WELCOME MESSAGES

On behalf of everyone at Canadian International School of Hong Kong, I welcome you to the CDNIS website. I encourage you to explore our site and discover everything our school has to offer.
For over 20 years, CDNIS has worked hard to establish itself as a top educational choice for students and parents in Hong Kong. We are a non-profit school that provides an International Baccalaureate (IB) education to nearly 1,850 students representing 41 different nationalities from Pre Reception to Grade 12 graduation. We encourage our students to explore their individuality and creativity in our highly supportive environment and promote their emerging talents by offering a vast array of extra-curricular activities. Despite our size, we promote a "small school" culture where every child is known and treated as a unique individual.
Our mission is to develop responsible global citizens and leaders through academic excellence and I am proud our entire community including teachers, staff, parents, board members and friends of the school collaborate so effectively towards this goal. Our dynamic staff are internationally minded and recruited from around the globe. They are dedicated to helping our students reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. Our parents also play an important role in their child's education and are valued for the commitment and support they provide. Since first opening our doors in 1991, we have produced many well-rounded, independent and confident young adults who are driven to make a difference in the world. Our students graduate with both the IB Diploma and Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and have gone on to attend some of the most prestigious universities in the world.
Although academic achievement is our priority, it is only part of the picture as a vast array of extra-curricular activities including sport, art, drama, community service projects and various other clubs create a vibrant atmosphere and help students become responsible global citizens and leaders. Educating the "whole child" is important to us and I believe a leading factor in our school being named Hong Kong's leading international school by Hong Kong Business Magazine's High-Flyers campaign for five consecutive years.
The best way to get to know the school is to come for a visit, experience the energy, explore the facilities, and see first hand the warm and friendly environment our school has become known for. Please contact our Admissions Department and join one of our weekly school tours. We look forward to welcoming you.
